About the Organization:

A charitable institution, Renaissance Foundation takes Hong Kong as its home and aims to foster creative synergy and development across Chinese communities. Through a variety of activities ranging from creative education and performances, to cultural exchanges and sponsorship, it is determined to nurture new generations of creative talents with a vibrant, independent spirit, and to build a culturally diverse and creatively sustainable society, for now and for the future.

The Foundation hopes to gather and connect the creative synergies across the Chinese communities, and build a Creative Talent Pool as well as a Creative Think Tank from it. Through different projects and events on movie, film and literature etc., the Foundation discovers, inspires and supports creative talents, and promotes their collaborations with external parties. At the same time, the Foundation acts as a Creative Think Tank by conducting researches on cultural policies, so as to provide opinions and suggestions to the government as well as the society on the issue.

About the Project:  

Renaissance Foundation has planned to run a new music talent nurturing program called “Ear Up Music Global Program 2018/19” from September 2018 to December 2019 (16 months) with scope below:


The objectives of the project are below:


  • Nurture and incubate local young music talents with training and mentoring by experienced music groups, and provide the young talents with overseas performance opportunities and industry exchanges with overseas counterparts
  • Twelve selected budding music groups will be led by four experienced groups. The paring up of music groups will enhance their branding and exposure in overseas performance, so as to better promote the music of Hong Kong overseas, and build up the overall branding od HK’s music and creative industries


Key project deliverables:

  • selecting outstanding local indie music talents
  • matching up selected indie music talents as mentees with local famous music individuals or groups as mentors
  • training selected talents
  • sponsoring the pairing up of music groups to perform in overseas leading music festivals/platforms (a total of 4 overseas trips to music festivals) and study trip after the performances
  • organizing experience sharing events to the industry and a large-scale finale public concert in Hong Kong.


Applications are invited for the below four posts:

Project Director (for 12 months)

  • Overall project management
  • Project planning, high-level coordination
  • Conducting project committee meeting
  • Liaison with key stakeholders of project including government funding body, mentors and industry support bodies


  • Degree in Communication/Music/Event Management or related fields
  • Over 10 years in marketing/music/event organizing experiences with good management experiences and skills
  • Experiences of project management of government-funded projects with good track record is preferable
  • Besides project execution, the candidate should have the good industry knowledge and ability to lead and drive the development of this project
  • Can effectively communicate with multi-stakeholders i.e. the government department which provides funding, key music industry supporters and program participants
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)

Project Manager (for 12 months)

  • Organizing concert, and training,
  • Project purchasing in compliance with government fund procedures
  • Project documentation
  • Committee meetings secretariat
  • Organizing overseas trips and assist selected singers during trips


  • Degree in Communication/Music/Event Management or related fields
  • Over 7-8 years in marketing/music/event organizing experiences
  • Experiences of project management of government-funded projects with good track record is an advantage
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)

Assistant Project Manager (for 12 months)

  • Coordination with overseas partners
  • Organizing overseas study tours and liaison with overseas co-organizers
  • Project website and content update
  • Monitoring video production
  • Project marketing and publicity
  • Attending overseas trips to assist selected singers



  • Degree in Communication/Animation/Event Management or related fields
  • Over 5 years in marketing/music/event organizing experiences
  • Relevant event/concert/publicity, marketing or PR experiences
  • Good command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)

Marketing Assistant (for 5 months)

  • Project coordination
  • Assistant to project manager on organizing concert

(Please note that the Marketing Assistant Post is required only from around mid/late  June 2019 to mid/late Nov 2019)


  • Diploma or Degree graduates
  • 1-2 marketing/event/concert experiences, fresh graduates will also be considered
  • Music lovers, and previous experiences in organizing concerts or music activities is an advantage
